Hautefort Château and Village Well

Rue Maxence de Damas in Hautefort, Nouvelle Aquitaine, France. The circular tower of the Château d’Hautefort forms an impressive backdrop. Pen and ink freehand sketch by Dai Wynn in A3 format. Interestingly, Google Streetview in January 2011 depicts a fairly diminutive well with a simple shingled roof. When we visited in September 2017, it had been replaced with the magnificent multi-domed, bent-wood, slate-shingled cupola to match that of the château.
