Bamberg Virgin Mary Statue

A wall-mounted statue of the Virgin Mary and Child in Bamberg, Germany.
While strolling through the old town of Bamberg, Germany, Dai Wynn spotted something interesting above this narrow street. A wall-mounted statue of a gold-crowned lady with a naked baby in her arms. She holds a gold mace in her right arm and shelters beneath what appears to be an umbrella. She wears a red robe with a blue coat, so I am assuming it is the Virgin Mary and Christ Child. The twin towers of Michaelsberg monastery dominate the skyline.
